Smoke & Fire Designs
Smoke & Fire Designs was conceived in 2015 — not as a side project, but as a long-term vision.
Andrew Lee had spent years inside the discipline of a working foundry, mastering aluminum through heat, structure, and precision. The environment demanded technical excellence, but it left one question unanswered:
What would happen if casted metal and live-edge hardwood were treated not as separate crafts — but as one unified, architectural statement?
The idea required time.
For eight years, the vision matured alongside experience. Wood selection, structural balance, thermal movement, joinery under tension — every variable studied, tested, refined.
In 2023, the standard was set.
Smoke & Fire Designs began producing signature statement tables and functional works defined by structural integrity and sculptural presence. The fusion of hardwood and casted aluminum was no longer experimental — it was disciplined.
Mastery of Material
Wood moves.
Metal resists.
Fire reveals weakness.
Few studios operate confidently in all three elements.
Each piece is engineered with the understanding that materials must coexist under tension without compromise. Live edge is preserved for character, not novelty. Aluminum is casted and shaped for permanence, not ornament.
This is not rustic craft.
This is not decorative fusion.
This is structural art designed to endure.
A Family Enterprise with Long-Term Vision
Smoke & Fire Designs is family owned and operated, with clear intent.
Ashley Lee directs operations and long-term growth strategy, ensuring that execution remains uncompromising. The studio operates with discipline — limited production, controlled commissions, and focused evolution.
The objective is deliberate:
To create the most prestigious handcrafted statement tables in the United States.
Not by volume.
By standard.
Responsibility & Collaboration
All timbers are responsibly sourced. Materials are selected for strength, integrity, and character. Strategic collaborations with select artists are pursued when they elevate the work — never to chase trend.
Excellence is the baseline.
Faith & Contribution
A percentage of proceeds is directed toward charitable causes aligned with the Lee family’s convictions.
Contribution is built into the structure of the company. It is not seasonal. It is foundational.
Established Direction
Smoke & Fire Designs operates with restraint.
Limited releases.
Controlled commissions.
No mass production.
Each piece leaves the studio individually built, finished, and documented — designed to live in extraordinary spaces and endure for generations.
This is a house built for longevity.
Those who acquire a Smoke & Fire piece do so because they recognize permanence when they see it.
